TITLE: News & Updates. TITLE: A Quarter Million. October has always been a special month for us. Important days like World Sight Day and White Cane Day culminates in a month full of blindness awareness. And this month we could also celebrate that 250,000 people have signed up to receive visual support through Be My Eyes! Everyday we’re amazed by the community we have built together - so congratulations to all of you for now being a quarter of a million strong! TITLE: How to Make Your Workplace More Inclusive for Visually Impaired Employees. Making sure your workplace is inclusive for employees and possible employees who are blind or have low vision can seem like a daunting task. But it’s a lot more simple than it seems - it’s all about changing the culture and the way you think. TITLE: Blind organizations from Iceland and Slovakia are now available on Be My Eyes. In October, we welcomed two new local blind organizations to the Be My Eyes Community; Blindrafelagid from Iceland and UNSS from Slovakia. TITLE: How Be My Eyes Can Help People with Dyslexia Be My Eyes is not just for people who are blind or have low vision - people with varying degrees of Dyslexia can also benefit from Be My Eyes to get assistance with deciphering words and sentences as well as spell checks. TITLE: Watch TV Together: Spectrum Access App is a Leap Forward for Entertainment Accessibility. The free iOS app allows the user to access audio description, captions, and other accessibility content independently. TITLE: Featured Story of the Month. For CEO of CarbonCare Innolab Chong Chan Yau, making accommodations for each employee is a necessity for making sure they perform at their best - not just for employees with a disability, but for all employees.
